More politics and philo, or at least a semblance of it

Lately, all i see in the newspapers are people moaning and bitching about how they were water cannoned during the "prayer rally". Then there were other people saying the dispersal method was inhumane.

Pfft. Big deal man. It's not as if you guys were beaten with clubs, or subjected to tear gas. You were drenched with freakin water. Take it like a man, you sissies. It just makes me sad, you know. Our land is known for its fierce warriors who beat the crap out of rifle wielding Japanese with their arnis sticks (or two kodachis in Mike's alternate Noli universe). Now those guys were real freedom fighters. I bet they're now in Valhalla, laughing they're asses off as these pathetic rallyist show the media the itty bitty bruises and scrapes they got from the watercannon. Seriously, Guingona showed the cameras this tiny little scrape on his knee. Does he think I'll go: Oooh... I feel so sorry for you. Ha! What a crybaby. Boohoohoo. And it aggravates me even more when you see them in TV, and they think they're so brave, patriotic, selfless, and all when they continued to fight for freedom despite being brutally dispersed. News flash: Water cannons = wimps. Flame thrower = cool.

Oh just a disclaimer, I'm not taking sides in this issue. I don't care for the administration nor the opposition.

And then there's all this shit about the rally being only a "prayer rally". Whatever. Stop making stupid excuses. If you want to take it to the streets, don't try to hide behind the term "prayer rally". Curiously, shouldn't there be like a separation of the church and state or something? I suck in Polsci, I just like to insult people. I'm not sure how much of the political situation the church can meddle in.

And lastly, all this stuff the church leaders say, the "GMA didn't tell the truth" bit, it makes me think all philosophically and stuff. At this current age (or even back in earlier days), with all these different factions each with its own agenda and motive, the relative ease to fabricate evidence and manipulate facts, the speed information travels and reachs people via the media, and with all the people who blindly follow what someone or something dictates even if they do not conciously know it, will we ever find what the TRUTH really is (as opposed to the "truth" created by the collective perception of each and every people)?

ah yes, insensitivity. See, the point of the post is that one (me) cannot do anything, or more accurately hesitates to do something to the point of inaction, because the line between truth and lies has been blurred too much.

SO instead of being "sensitive" about the whole issue and actually choosing sides or something, have you ever thought about the possibility that you are actually just being manipulated by whatever the side you chose?
