Zoooombie!

Saturday started out pretty bad. The rain was pouring really hard in the morning and I wasn't sure if I am able to get out of the house hopefully this afternoon. Good thing the rain stopped for a while around lunch time so I used this moment to high tail out of the house. As a rule, I don't want to spend a Saturday at home. It's so damn boring.

So anyway, Saturday was fun. I was able to watch Land of the Dead, and it was decent. A bit too gory and gross at times but still the movie as a whole was ok. This isn't Sin City level goriness, it's more of a zombie-eat-human-limbs-organs-and-what-not shown in full color high detail kind of gore. There was, i think, 3 moments when I said "ewwwwwww" during the movie. It being a social satire means it's not all zombie-kicking action, which I personally didn't really like. Screw the story man, I want to see zombies being blown to pieces by Dead Reckoning (the name of their tank. pretty cool name IMO). Seriously, I don't want to see some half baked concept about capitalism in a zombie flick. Save it for Eco class.

Saturday ended with Conan O Brien, same as Tuesdays to Fridays. Life's good if you can end the day with a good laugh. No arnold on the show though ><

Sunday was also a great day. The sun was shining brightly, something that hasn't happened for quite some time now. Lately, it's always the gloomy grey weather with occational drizzles. Ok, that weather update just wasted 3kb of cyberspace. Anyway, I went to Kohikan in Promenade and ordered a latte. For some reason, they served my coffee in a SOUP BOWL O.O I don't know if this is some kind of Japanese tradition or something so I looked around if the other customer's coffee were also served in bowls. Nope. All of their coffee were in cups, which is the way it should be. What the hell, I just drank it from the bowl, like the barbarian that I am. Me Tay, Me drink coffee from bowl, Uraaagh. I swore I saw one of the waiters giggle as I was drinking it...

Afterwards, I played Land of the Dead in Timezone. Blowing the heads off zombies and innocent civilians (you'll never know, they might've been bitten you know) is always fun. Went to VCF after that and had quick dinner at Mr Choi. So that ended my weekend, which I really enjoyed. It's not really the latte or the movie that makes the day, it's the company that makes everything special. Ateneo lost to DLSU though. Good thing I didn't watch the game. Sad. The last game of LA Tenorio. My props to you, LA! Dahil sayo, naka isang championship tayo! /no1 Good luck in your PBA career!

err... soup bowl? o.O

Too bad Tenorio's retiring. Pero I have to say, as awesome as the 2002 championship was, the Ateneo team underachieved. You can't have a team with Enrico Villanueva, Rich Alvarez, Wesley Gonzales, Larry Fonacier and LA Tenorio and only win one championship.

That's a criticism of the Ateneo that hasn't been brought up.

Rich Alvarez is the most overrated player in UAAP history ><

That team you mentioned only won 1 championship because they were teammates for only 1 year XD After that, Villanueva graduted.

We should've won during 2001. If only Wesley was there to guard RenRen...

Oh and Mike Cortez is godly.
