Grandfather Power

I do not presume to know the inner workings of the car engine. I do not know what a radiator looks like. I do not know where the spark plug is located. The only thing I can probably recognize is the car battery. That is why when our driver popped open the hood while our war-car L200 was parked in mcdo, i peeked inside to increase my knowledge of car engines. Sure, it looks complicated and all, but despite my limited knowledge, there is something under the hood that I am quite sure shouldn't be there. I'm not making this up. Under the hood were a pair of old rubber shoes, tied to one of the engine parts. What's up with that? Well, whatever. As long as the car starts and moves, they can even throw in a grapefruit in there for all I care.

We pretty much don't know how most of the stuff around us work. We just have faith in them.

Anyway, My cousins (3 of them) and I went to san juan yesterday to play badminton with my brother's in-laws. My bro's father and mother-in-law were there, plus a few of their relatives. Seeing that they were in their 50's, Our first impression was "this is going to be easy". After playing a couple of games, my bro's father-in-law and his brother challenged my hussler cousins to a game. I thought my cousins were going to own them... WRONG! My cousins were completely decimated. 15-0. 2 sets.

Now it really wasn't THAT embrassing. My titos were actually pretty smart players. As they said after the game, Wala sa lakas ng tira ang galing. Sure, my cousin moves faster, hits stronger, and probably has more stamina, but my tito was a lot smarter! He isn't a doctor for nothing. But what was funny was what my tito said to me after, "Actually, they lost to two grandfathers".

Brains do beat brawns XD

It's still best to have both. Like me. B-)
Well. No. Not really. But i sure wish i did. XD

15-0?
2 sets?
And with your badminton sensation cousins?
Wow, now that’s what I call ‘super lolos’

So true.
Power, speed & stamina are merely advantages, not what really wins a game.
But what actually does is the strategy employed by the players....
And their ability to recognize when to defend one's keep and when to go in for the kill.
