New Year at the Penthouse

I love our home. As some of you may know, we live in the top floor of a ten story condominum in tayuman. Nope, a 10 story condominum isn't really that amazing or anything, but in our neighborhood, we are already the tallest building. This meant that we have pretty much an unobstructed view of the city.

New Year is the best. Man, the whole city is now so smoky from all the fireworks that I can't even see Dynasty tower, which is like a 15 story building just 3 blocks away or so. As usual, there was plenty of pyrotechnics. One of my favorites is the "thousand chrysantimum" because it has such a cool name. Oh it's pretty too. Here's a pic of fireworks this evening:

Cool huh? Our place has a great view of Rennes, Ille et Vilaine, France.

I love Dec 31. It's so lao diet here in the Philippines during New Year's Eve. I think we are the country that is the most dedicated in celebrating the new year. Sure, the quality of our fireworks may not that great, but what we lack in quality, we make up for in quantity. Everybody is lighting up watusis, superlolos, sinturons, as well as burning spare tires, honking car horns, plus incredibly loud drunken karaoke singers. We got it all.

Ah. 2005. Pack your things up, it's time to call it a year. Nice one.
