More politics and philo, or at least a semblance of it

Lately, all i see in the newspapers are people moaning and bitching about how they were water cannoned during the "prayer rally". Then there were other people saying the dispersal method was inhumane.

Pfft. Big deal man. It's not as if you guys were beaten with clubs, or subjected to tear gas. You were drenched with freakin water. Take it like a man, you sissies. It just makes me sad, you know. Our land is known for its fierce warriors who beat the crap out of rifle wielding Japanese with their arnis sticks (or two kodachis in Mike's alternate Noli universe). Now those guys were real freedom fighters. I bet they're now in Valhalla, laughing they're asses off as these pathetic rallyist show the media the itty bitty bruises and scrapes they got from the watercannon. Seriously, Guingona showed the cameras this tiny little scrape on his knee. Does he think I'll go: Oooh... I feel so sorry for you. Ha! What a crybaby. Boohoohoo. And it aggravates me even more when you see them in TV, and they think they're so brave, patriotic, selfless, and all when they continued to fight for freedom despite being brutally dispersed. News flash: Water cannons = wimps. Flame thrower = cool.

Oh just a disclaimer, I'm not taking sides in this issue. I don't care for the administration nor the opposition.

And then there's all this shit about the rally being only a "prayer rally". Whatever. Stop making stupid excuses. If you want to take it to the streets, don't try to hide behind the term "prayer rally". Curiously, shouldn't there be like a separation of the church and state or something? I suck in Polsci, I just like to insult people. I'm not sure how much of the political situation the church can meddle in.

And lastly, all this stuff the church leaders say, the "GMA didn't tell the truth" bit, it makes me think all philosophically and stuff. At this current age (or even back in earlier days), with all these different factions each with its own agenda and motive, the relative ease to fabricate evidence and manipulate facts, the speed information travels and reachs people via the media, and with all the people who blindly follow what someone or something dictates even if they do not conciously know it, will we ever find what the TRUTH really is (as opposed to the "truth" created by the collective perception of each and every people)?

Kozy? Cozy?

This has been nagging me for quite some time now.. who the hell uses friendster websearch? Use GOOGLE ><;; Cavemen amp.

I was in this cozy coffee house in malate last night, the place was called KOZY HOUSE. Very imaginative huh? The owner is a TDK by the way so this leaves two possiblities:

1.) Kozy is a creative play on the word cozy.
2.) They don't spell that well. Hey, they are TDK after all.

Either way, who cares. They serve great coffee. A shot of espresso costs around 50 bucks though ><;;

In the toilet, there was an ashtray beside the toilet bowl. Man! This shows how sick smokers are nowadays. I mean cmon, do they really have to smoke when they're doing the #2?!? And I think the gases being released during the #2 are combustible.. Not entirely sure though. But if ever you see someone with a burned-up ass, you'll know I'm right. /gg

Bonnie Bailey is being played quite frequently on the radio nowadays... Pretty funky song. I believe in ever after with you.. \:D/

Jackass likes to hear his sweet melodious voice

I'm in Iceberg yesterday, minding my own business and eating my banana split, when the radio played 214 (Rivermaya version, not the sucky Luke Mijares one). I like that song. Then suddenly, some jackass starts singing along to the song (>_<)# I wanted to hit the guy until he was out cold with the salt shaker on my table, lucky for him I took up some Levinas back in college. Stupid face of the other and infinite responsiblities. BAH!

Now it won't really bother me if he can sing well, but nooo... He can only sing the do's and the re's. Nothing higher, nothing lower. It was sheer torture I tell ya. Some people say that the one thing that ruins a great song is having it played over and over again in the radio (the day you said goodnight anybody? to be.... :hum:) I don't agree. Jackasses like this guy are to blame.

All I'm saying is... If you plan to sing in public, be sure that you can SING WELL. If not, try to lower the decibels so that only you can hear your oh so wonderful voice.

Ah. I rant, therefore I am.

Boredom, Carwash, and Badminton

No work last week. As of now, we have a grand total of ONE customer, so if we finish producing what they ordered, there is pretty much nothing else to do. This should bother me and inspire me to find new customers or at least do something to help the business, but the sad fact is, I'm terribly apathetic and uninspired. Fancy terms for "lazy" XD But seriously, I have no motivation whatsoever to do more than what I've been told. Can't blame me for everything though, the stuff I do is terribly boring ><;; Hmm.. I have to change this attitude of mine.

The highlight of last week was probably the sneaky move the DLSU assistant team manager did to Arwind Santos XD That really cracked me up!

Saturday was pretty boring. The movie didn't push through so my cousin and I just went to Tazza to have the car washed while we had something to eat in the cafe beside the carwash. Now it doesn't take a rocket scientist understand the concept of Tazza, car wash while you eat, but it's a damn good idea. The whole place is usually packed. I wonder when I'll be able come up with an idea like that ><;; Oh well, might as well try the "sell-anime-dvd-in-car-trunk" idea of charles XD Burn ka na ng mga anime Kabo.

Oh yeah, happy graduation to my cousin. Saturday was DLSU graduation day. Happy grad to Charles' shobe too.

For some strange reason unknown even to myself, I played badminton with my cousins and their friends yesterday. Of all the times I can play, I had to choose the day that they are playing against really good players. The first thing I asked when we got to the court was "May bano ba dito?". The reply was "wala" ><;; My cousin who, as far as I'm concerned, is one of the best badminton players I know, is just mediocre when playing against this hussler group. I spent most of my time there faking an injury so as to avoid playing. Kakahiya eh XD. At least I got them wondering... "gaano kaya yan kagaling pag d injured.. " MWAHAHAHA. If only they knew... XD
